The SSJC’s Reach Out, Give Back program is now well underway!
The next meeting would be on Sunday, December 14 at 4pm. On that day we are asking members of the local community to bring in usable clothes, shoes, and blankets that they would like to donate to the homeless. We will also be collecting non-perishable food and toiletries. The students will be assisting the agencies by helping to sort out the donations. We can also arrange for a pick-up if necessary.
The Service Project and Kosher dinner will be followed by the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The cost of the event will still be $3.00 to cover the food and it will start at 4pm. Please send exact change!
As previously noted, the Reach Out-Give Back program is designed to help bring the younger generation into doing more community service projects locally on a consistent basis, beyond what the local High Schools may require. The SSJC will be hosting regular events where local teens can give their time to meaningful, yet fun, community service projects to benefit the elderly, homeless, victims of abuse, and those in need.
Please feel free to pass this along to any Jewish High School student that you believe might enjoy and benefit from this program.
ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTABLE AND RECEIPTS WILL BE ISSUED.
